“ The staff is very friendly and efficient and the food was great! The hand battered fried mushrooms were perfect, the breading was light and crispy. I had the whitefish dinner with lemon pepper that was cooked perfectly. My husband had the trout special and it was delicious as well. We finished it off with the carrot cake, that was off the charts! ”
“ Great dining experience! Food is delicious! Waitresses are hospitable and friendly. Although it looked busy it had lots of room. But we sat at the bar and watched a horse race and got the scoop from the sweet bartender with the beautiful nails. We had a great late lunch fried chicken salad - the Cajun pecans oh yeah! Hubby had the tenderloin- it was gone before got to see it and afternoon drinks and loved all of it. They have been there since the 1800s. 3 owners doing everything right. Order the blackberry old fashioned. Extra shot of blackberry. Oh yes! Bonus: It’s On the St. Joseph River. Walking distance to historic Camelback bridge. Mottville is small but packs a great day trip! Go! You will enjoy! Get engaged on the bridge at sunset and go to dinner at Jaywalker’s! And when the water is clear you can watch the large mouth bass run! ”

Some covered outdoor seating which would be great in an evening sitting at the edge of the river enjoying an adult beverage. ”
“ We've had the prime rib two years in a row on Mother's Day. The food has been excellent the service has been excellent the atmosphere can be a little crowded add full operating capacity. There is a view of the river. The sound carries here and when you're at the bar the river is to your back. But there is some good seating to view the river at most of the dining tables. ”
